This weekend.... culture abounds!

As part of the One Book, One Philadelphia Celebration, the Chestnut Hill Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia will have a Native American Crafts session.  Children will learn about Power Animals and tribal teaching.  Wendy Logan, a member of the Powhattan Renape Nation, will lead the event.  Whether or not you've read the Sherman Alexie books and The Good Luck Cat,  please come Saturday at 2pm.

Annie plays at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute this Saturday at 11am.

If you haven't seen them yet, the mummies will be leaving soon.  The Secrets of the Silk Road exhibit runs at the Penn Museum through the end of the month, but the mummies are only here until March 15.  And since the kids are all about the mummies, see it soon!

Another option is the Blackbird Society Orchestra on Sunday from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm.  This Philadelphia jazz band plays 1920's and 1930's era jazz, swing, pop, and blues. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated bases. Children, families, and adults are welcome.  Free.
