The Germantown Jewish Center has the Early Childhood Program that goes up to Pre-K (age 5).
Thanks for the tip! We moved the Germantown Jewish Centre up to the top list.

Actually, the ECP at GJC *is* religious--very strong Jewish content/programming. But there have been several non-Jewish families that have sent kids there because it's a good program.
Other programs not mentioned:
-The House at Pooh Corner
-Germantown Friends School Nursery
-Childspace
-Christ Lutheran Church in Chestnut Hill
-UCP Best Friends Daycare (integrated physically challenged and non- together)
-PA School for the Deaf (integrated classes of hearing and non-hearing kids together)
Hi Jessica,
Thanks for your comment.
Thank you for pointing out that program at Germantown Jewish Centre is religious. I knew that, but forgot to adjust that after moving it to that list from the bottom list. So, I will make that change.
Also, I was pretty sure GFS had a preschool, but couldn't find it anywhere on their website. I will call, then, to get details.
I had planned on putting UCP on the list, but now can't remember why I didn't. I will add Christ Lutheran and PA School for the Deaf. I wasn't familiar with those. Thank you. And I thought House on Pooh Corner and Childspace were day cares.
Anyway, I will follow up on all those leads. Thanks!
Charline
We LOVE the School House in Flourtown. It is located on Wissahickon Ave. in Flourtown. It takes children from 2years 8mo+(must be potty trained)and has an accredited Kindregarten- perfect for children with birthdays around the cut off.
No religious ties.
There is a preschool held at the Water Tower Rec center in Chestnut Hill but i can't find any feedback on the web about it. Anyone here know anything - good or bad?
Hi,
Regina Coeli has a pre-school (Pre-K for 3-4) and also has k-8. The school is fantastic; recent IOWA test scores placed the school in the 96-99 perctiles depending on the content area! It is religiously affiliated (Roman Catholic). They are dropping the tuition for next year and there is generous financial aid available. Please check out the school, it really is wonderful :-)
