This Week and Weekend...

Chestnut Hill College has two family-friendly events this week/weekend:

Co-sponsored with the Norhwest Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Newtwork, on Thursday November 18, CHC will hold the "Empty Bowl Dinner".  Local schoolchildren, business people, and potters donate ceramic bowls, and local restaurants donate soups and breads for the event to highlight hunger.  Diners can select a hand-crafted bowl and enjoy fare from over 59 restaurants and bakeries in the Philadelphia area. At the end of the evening, diners take home their empty bowl as a reminder of those who face hunger every day.  Fans of WHYY's "You Bet Your Garden" can chat it up with none other than Mike McGrath!

Cost: $15 adults, $5 students and children
Proceeds go to NPIHN

This weekend, the college's Mask & Foil Club present "Alice in Wonderland".  This will be a slightly different take on the tale, but with many original elements preserved.  (May be more appropriate for older children than preschoolers).
