The kids had their hunt. Now it's your turn!

So, you had fun watching the kids hunt for Easter eggs, but how about going on a hunt of your own, one that doesn't involve kids or eggs? Get your babysitter now. Call friends to join your team. And get ready for a fun-filled (adult) scavenger hunt!

The Cooperative Nursery School in Germantown is hosting its first City Scavenger Hunt, put on by City Hunt, a company specializing in group hunts in New York, D.C, and Philadelphia.

Teams (4-8 people) are sent out on a multi-faceted Ultimate Adventure through the Old City Area. Knowledge in art, history, architecture, science or math could easily help you find your next stop in your quest for the ultimate prize.

And you can get your clues in the most unexpected ways. Voicemail messages, cryptex cases, CD-ROMs and bank deposit boxes have all been used in past hunts. At the beginning of every City Hunt event, each team is given a digital camera and a list of images that they must capture to obtain points.

Some tasks are simple:"Take a photo of your team holding world with Ben Franklin" - while others are not. Teams may be asked, "Take a photo of your entire team underwater" At the end of the hunt all teams meet at a final destination for a wrap party where they celebrate their adventures with wine and appetizers; and discuss clue-solving secrets. Digital photos are shared, and each participant's creativity is revealed. A treasure chest filled with prizes will be awarded to the 1st place winner (a $200 value)!
